NYPD: Remains stolen from Queens cemetery on Halloween

Some may have took celebrating the dead a bit too seriously this Halloween.

Human remains were stolen from a Queens cemetery on Monday sometime after 4 p.m., police said. One full skeleton and another skull were taken from an above ground mausoleum in the Acacia Cemetery at 8384 Liberty Ave. in Ozone Park, they said.

Cops said they don’t know how many people were involved in the burglary.

According to reports, the remains belonged to a woman who was born in 1900 and a man who was born in 1865. Both reportedly died in 1928.

Cops said the mausoleum hadn’t been visited for nearly 30 years.

Police said no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
