FDNY: Person falls in wastewater treatment tank in Brooklyn

A person fell into a treatment tank at a wastewater treatment plant in Brooklyn, the FDNY said Wednesday afternoon.

An FDNY spokesman said the person had fallen into the tank inside the facility at 2601 Knapp St. in Sheepshead Bay. Units responded to a call around 12:35 p.m.

The person was removed from the tank shortly after 1 p.m., but FDNY said the person’s condition was not known.
