A Bronx man escaped police custody Monday night, as officers struggled to restrain another suspect, the NYPD said.
Narciso Rosario, 19, was taken into custody at East 178th Street and Hughes Avenue in Tremont around 9:30 p.m., police said. Rosario had been handcuffed, but he fled when officers were attempting to restrain a second male who was resisting arrest, police said. He was last seen running northbound on Hughes Avenue toward East 179th Street.
Police released a photo of Rosario from May after he was arrested for burglary. They did not say why he was taken into custody Monday night.
Rosario is described as 6 feet tall and 190 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black baseball cap, dark jeans and multicolored sneakers.
