Human bones found by construction workers in Brooklyn: Cops

Construction workers unearthed human remains buried 13 feet underground as they made repairs to sewers in East Flatbush Monday afternoon, police said.

The workers found the human bones at about 1 p.m. under Clarkson Avenue near East 48th Street, down the street from Kings Country Hospital Center and Kingsboro Psychiatric Center, police said.

Police could not immediately confirm what type of bones were discovered.

It was not clear how long the human remains were underground.

The investigation is ongoing, police said.
